Etang Meunier big-carp and catfishing lake is situated in the Limousin region of France. This beautiful part of the country hosts a wealth of history, not least being renowned for its fine porcelain and painted enamelware with the original settlement dating back to Roman times. Etang Meunier is the deepest of the Millers carp and cat lakes being set in forest and woodland heather at the bottom of a granite-valley floor.

The surrounding woodland is part of the whole estate and is excellent for those cool summer evening walks. Or if you prefer, just sit on the balcony of the bungalow and relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the privacy, peace and beauty this mature woodland setting provides.

Again the region provides many local attractions which include traditional festivals and concerts with plenty of fresh local produce to enjoy during your stay. The shops and restaurants are only 10 minutes walk with 3 excellent supermarkets just a short 10 minute car journey away. There is a boat available at Meunier as with all the lakes and bait-boats are also welcomed, although they are certainly not necessary at this venue as all the areas can be cast to and baiting can also be achieved from the bank with no specialist gear required.

Meunier holds a terrific head of carp to over 55lb with approx. 25 at 40lb plus and over 100 thirties, which does not include the many grass carp and big-head carp in the 30-60lb range. The catfish run to an amazing 90lb plus an have been caught on a variety of baits; mainly boilies! The tench have also put in an appearance at over 10lb and the pike also go to over 20lb. Etang Meunier, again keeps calling anglers back for their following year's holiday, and with the quality of the fishing within these exclusive private grounds, this is really no surprise at all.

Many weeks seeing catches of 20-30 thirty pound plus fish, also up to 12 forties in 1 week!!!
